Hazrat Dawood (A.S), known as Prophet David in the Bible, was a great prophet and king in Islamic history. He was chosen by Allah to guide the Children of Israel and was given the Zabur (Psalms), one of the four revealed books in Islam. He is remembered not only for his prophethood but also for his bravery, wisdom, and justice. Hazrat Dawood (A.S) was known for his beautiful voice and his deep love for worship. When he recited the Zabur, even the birds and mountains would join him in glorifying Allah. He spent a significant part of his time in prayer and fasting, and he divided his day between worship, governing, and personal time. He is often remembered for his balanced lifestyle and devotion to God. One of the most famous stories about Hazrat Dawood (A.S) is his defeat of Jalut (Goliath), a giant warrior who was feared by many. As a young man, Dawood (A.S) stepped forward with strong faith and a slingshot, and with Allah's help, he defeated Jalut. This victory led to his rise as a respected leader among his people. Allah granted him wisdom, and he became a just ruler. He would listen to the complaints of the people and make fair judgments. His son, Hazrat Sulaiman (A.S), also became a great prophet and king. Hazrat Dawood (A.S) taught the values of justice, humility, worship, and gratitude. Muslims respect him as one of the noble prophets and seek to learn from his life and character. His story is a reminder that with faith and sincerity, one can achieve great things and remain close to Allah.
