The Martyrdom of Imam Muhammad Baqir (A.S.)

Imam Baqir (A.S.) was born in **676 CE** and was the son of Imam Zain-ul-Abidin (A.S.). He survived the carnage of Karbala and devoted his life to propagating Islamic religion. Later, he was poisoned by the Umayyad ruler **Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik**, resulting in his martyrdom on the **7th of Zilhaj, 732 CE**.
